As night falls, bicycles ride through the audience until, one by one, they leave the ground. High above the square, around a floating circle of light, dancers, musicians and a singer tell a love story about togetherness in dark times.
Pedaleando Hacia el Cielo 2.0 is the renewed version of Theater Tol’s most performed aerial show. Since 2010 it has been staged more than 140 times, on five continents. Cinematic projections, live arias, dance and fireworks merge into one poetic image. The city itself is the set: a market square, a church façade or a riverbank.
